The safari vehicles got so close - this is my picture from our vehicle of a male lion and another vehicle - he was just feet away!

This tse-tse-fly-covered guy was looking right at us with those gold eyes and pinprick pupils, then let out a gentle growl at one point. I'm already easily startled, but when he did that I literally leapt out of my seat, shrieked, and cowered behind my door while trying to close the window a bit more.
