Writing assignment: Adjectives and Adverbs that Compare

You all amaze me! You’re such a kind, smart, and hard-working group of St. Ann scholars!

I know the past six and a half weeks have been unexpected and challenging, but you all are doing a great job! I’m so proud of the effort you’ve put into remote learning.

I want you to take today to reflect (think about) what you’ve learned about yourself since we’ve been away from the classroom and school. Talk to a parent about this as well.

First, watch this Doceri video lesson:

Next:

What is your new superpower ( your new strength) and what is your super hero name?

Dress up, draw, or create your own character on-line, and then take one picture. Be sure to create a sign with your super hero name and power or write on the picture like I did. Be creative and have fun!

Next, fill in the blanks (See my example below). Email this to me along with your picture.

Faster than ______________, more powerful ______________, able to _______________! Look in Hangouts! It’s a __________. It’s a _________. No, it’s ___________________________________.

Here’s my new catch phrase:
Faster than she thought she could be, more powerful with her awesome students, able to change lesson plans in a single day! Look in Hangouts! It’s a baseball player. It’s a coach. No, it’s Rubberband Woman, teacher of the most fabulous 3rd graders!

Wednesday, April 28th

It’s Wellness Wednesday!

Pray the Our Father before you begin your day.

Who are you because of God’s grace and mercy?
Who should they see in you?
Who should they hear when you speak?
Who should they feel when you act?

Morning Powwow
Are you ready for a day to focus on your hearts, souls, and bodies?
If you have any assignments that you have not completed from this week, take some time today to work on them. Some of you didn’t complete the Newsela assignment, so please read the article today and take the quiz.

Religion - If you liked Ryan Defrates, secret agent, on Formed, there are more episodes for you to watch.
https://watch.formed.org/ryan-defrates-secret-agent

Writing - I’m sure you have learned a lot about yourself and what you are capable of doing since we started remote learning. I’m very proud of the progress you all are making! So, what have you learned about yourself? What is your super power?
