Thursday, April 23

Happy Thursday, 3G Scholars!

Pray the Our Father before you begin your day.

Morning Powwow
Today we're starting Geometry! I love these lessons, and I hope you have fun learning more about geometry.
Have you selected your RQ book for April/May?

Reading - Leveled Readers and Graphic Organizer
You have two leveled readers with Graphic Organizers in them. For this lesson, you will either read The Japanese Language, East Meets West: Japan and America, or Dressed for School Success, and then complete the graphic organizer. You may do this independently or with a group on Hangouts. You'll have to find someone who has the same book as you. If you need help, email me or meet me in Hangouts.

This assignment is due MONDAY, so you will have three days to complete it.

Math - Lines (Geometry)
Math text book pages 304 & 305.
Vocabulary you need to know: Line, line segment, ray, intersecting lines, parallel lines, and perpendicular lines.
Write the vocabulary words on a piece of paper and draw an example of each. Definitions and words on pages 304 & 305.
Then, go on a scavenger hunt around your house to find the different types of lines. You can post picture on the 3G chat in Hangouts, if you’d like.

Science - Read Lesson 2, pages 428 & 429. What Pattern repeats every year?
Watch the video about the seasons. If you don’t have time today, you’ll also have tomorrow to watch it.

Religion - Chapter 18 God's Law of Love
Read pages 239 - 241 and complete the activity on page 241. Highlight your faith word, Gentleness.
Grammar - Adverbs that Compare.  Read the notes posted on the blog and watch the video.

Handwriting -  Bible verse is due tomorrow.

Spelling - Spelling test at 10am in Hangouts
