It looks like some of you enjoyed your 2020 field day. If you have pictures and didn’t post them, it’s not too late. 

Today we start Social Studies! 
I hope you are making progress on your April/May RQ book. You can either take a quiz or write a book report (in your reading packet), and it’s due next Friday. 

Reading - Continue reading A Symphony of Whales. 

Read pages 367 - 369. You can read it by yourself or in Hangouts with some classmates like we do in small groups. 

Writing assignment: Email me your OPINION of what you’ve read so far. Do you like the story and why? What is your favorite (or least favorite part)? Remember to use correct punctuation, capitalization, and grammar. 

Math - page 310 and 311 Triangles 
There are four types of triangles. Watch the video and write the definitions for the four types and draw an example. 
Next, go on a scavenger hunt in your house looking for these types of triangles! 

Social Studies - Unit 4 Lesson 3: Farm Communities 
Write the definitions for the five vocabulary words on page 164.    

Religion - Chapter 19 Love One Another 
Read pages 251 - 253. Complete the activity on page 253. Highlight your Disciple Power word, self-control. 

Grammar - Conjunctions

Read over the notes I posted and watch the two videos on Conjunctions. 

We’ve discussed conjunctions, so this should be a review. We use conjunctions when we combine two simple sentences (two subjects and two verbs). 

Handwriting -  Start your new bible verse. It’s due on Friday.

Spelling - Continue to study your new words. Our test will be Thursday.
