We will be working on it in class, but I need them to bring in an 11 x 17 piece of sturdy poster board by Wednesday (11/20) along with the signed permission slip to enter the contest.
The contest challenges students to create a new superhero -- Water Mane -- to help illustrate ways to protect the water aquifer, Memphis's main water source. This lesson is tied back to our speaker last month from the City of Bartlett who spoke to us about protecting storm water from pollutants.
I will be delivering the entries on Thursday (11/21). If they do not bring poster board or the signed form, I cannot enter their drawing.
