Grammar Notes: Singular Possessive Nouns


Singular Possessive Nouns

·     Possession shows ownership (belonging to)
·     To show that ONE person, place or thing owns something
·     Add an apostrophe ( )  and the letter S at the end of the noun

Example:
The boy owns a dog.
The boy’s dog.
