Religion Project

Today I assigned the students Ten Commandment project (to be completed at home). It will be due on Friday, March 31. The grading rubric will be attached in the 3G Notes on March 21. This is to be used as a reference. I will be going over it in class with the students so that they will know my expectations.

God called Moses to Mt. Sinai, where He gave him the Ten Commandments to share with His people.  We are called to follow His commandments. In 2017, how can you share the Ten Commandments?

Create a project that teaches others the Ten Commandments by:

  1.  Give the commandments.
  2.  Explaining what each Commandment mean. -- in your own words.
  3. Explain how to live his/her life according to God’s word with specific examples.
  4. You should have at least 4 to 5 sentences per Commandment, with the exception of 6 & 9 since they are adult commandments. One to two sentences will be ok.

Project ideas: (these are some ideas, but you can come up with your own – be creative and have fun spreading God’s commandments). Remember to explain how we can live by the Ten Commandments by using action verbs and adjectives.
(Students must type their own blogs, reports, etc. since I will be grading punctuation, grammar, and spelling).

  • ·         Compose a song and make a video (use props)
  • ·         Make a video (write a script and use props)
  • ·         Write a blog (use pictures, images, or video) or create a website
  • ·         Design a video game (you aren’t expected to write code,
but instead design and illustrate how the game will look and be played).
  • ·         Create an original board game (create instructions, a game board, pieces, cards, etc)
  • ·         Write and illustrate an original cartoon
  • ·         Any other  ideas?
If your child is using technology as a format, please email me the link to his/her Youtube video or the web address for his/her blog or website. He/she can also submit on a USB, which will be returned.

Please Note: Late project  (-10 pts. For the first day, -20 for the second day, and after the third day, the student will receive a zero. ) This project will count as a test score.
