Singluar and Plural Pronouns



Pronouns are words that take the place of a noun.

Singular pronouns:

I   (use when referring to yourself). I am a teacher.
You    Jill gave you a new pencil. 
me    Jill gave the doll to me.
he      Jim is going to the store. He is going to buy groceries.
she     Lisa is a nice person. She is my best friend.
her     I like Lisa.  I like her.
him     I like Tom. I like him. 
it          The dog ate the bone. The dog ate it.

Plural Pronouns:

we     
Tim and Jim are going to study division. We are going to study division.
us        She gave it to the class. She gave it to us.
they    3G is an awesome class.  They are an awesome class.
them   We went with Matt and Jason. We went with them.
