Grammar Notes: Types of sentences
Declarative (Statement) – a sentence that tells something.
§ Begins with a capital letter.
§ Ends with a ( .).
Example: My dog is has pointed ears.
Interrogative (Question) – a sentence that asks something.
§ Begins with a capital letter.
§ Ends with a ?.
Example: Does your dog have pointed ears?

Visiting the library
We checked out our September RQ book today. Once you finish your book and take your RQ quiz, you can read another book! I’ll take the highest score.
Read 'n Quiz (RQ): September
All third graders will be required to read one RQ book on their grade level per month. I will give them their grade level today.
This assignment will also count as a grade in Reading.Once they finish their book, they will take an RQ quiz. The link is on the right side of the blog, and I have shown all the students how to access it with their user name and password.
They can read as many books as they want, and I will take the HIGHEST grade.
