Club Invention is building a tower with shaving cream and index cards! Whose will be the tallest?
In our community of learners, we help each other learn like CHAMPIONS!! There is always another way to try and a friend to help. Believe in the power of YET! We CHALLENGE our minds to CHANGE our minds. And it is ok to be still and quiet.

Impromptu lesson
I love it when it a lesson takes on an unexpected turn.
Today in 2O we were learning about how airplanes fly (air) and why they can’t fly in space (no air). The lesson was interrupted many times by the strong winds, so we decided to make paper airplanes and go outside to see them fly. We also wanted to see if the winds were strong enough to move us (they weren’t, but my scarf did fly away).
Here’s the cool part...one of the simple, paper airplanes lifted (from the court yard), flew over the school, and by the time we got to the bell tower, we saw it flying across Stage Road.

Aerospace Connections in Education
Second graders have started working on the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Aerospace Connections in Education (ACE) program. They’ll complete lessons related to meteorology, technology, physics, and more. After completing their lessons they will earn their ACE certificate.
Today we started our first lesson on clouds.

Maker Space
PreK 3 listened to Track that Monkey, which is a Paw Patrol story about a giant monkey that wants his back scratched. After story, these young engineers participated in Maker Space time, building back scratchers and Paw Patrol vehicles to carry the monkey.
Maker space is where students learn to use materials and tools to create and invent. We’re working on adding more Maker Space options and technology to our library so that students can learn and explore.

First grade is learning about life cycles (plants and animals).
Second is starting the ACE program through Civil Air Patrol.
Third graders are still working on publishing their first book.
Fourth graders are working the mock library renovation.
