I love it when it a lesson takes on an unexpected turn.
Today in 2O we were learning about how airplanes fly (air) and why they can’t fly in space (no air). The lesson was interrupted many times by the strong winds, so we decided to make paper airplanes and go outside to see them fly. We also wanted to see if the winds were strong enough to move us (they weren’t, but my scarf did fly away).
Here’s the cool part...one of the simple, paper airplanes lifted (from the court yard), flew over the school, and by the time we got to the bell tower, we saw it flying across Stage Road.
