March Madness

Will your favorite book dominate the rounds and take home the championship?

Choose your FAVORITE book and get ready to persuade (convince) your classmates why your book is the BEST!

You will complete THREE assignments AT HOME during March Madness. See due dates for each round below.

1.    Round 1:  Write a summary of your favorite book. Your summary should be at least 8 sentences. Everyone must prepare their presentation. Due: Friday, March 25th

2.      Round 2: Write a paragraph about your favorite character.  Due: Tuesday, March 29th

3.      Round 3: Write a paragraph about the setting of the story.    Due: Thursday, March 31st

Each person will present their first assignment to the class in round one. If you win in round one, you’ll move on to the second round. Even if your book doesn’t advance to the next round, you must still complete the assignment. Only the winning teams will present their information.

For your presentations (no more than 2 minutes), you may do any of the following:

1.      Make a video  (have a parent email it to me)

2.      Create a poster board

3.      Write a summary and read it

4.      Do a skit

5.      Write a song or rap

6.      Book report in a bag  (optional)

7.      Be as creative as you can! Am

Grading:  All three assignments will equal one Reading grade for March Madness.
