When a noun ends in "y" and there is a consonant before the "y", drop the "y" and add an "i". If the noun ends in "y', and there is a vowel before the "y", DO NOT drop the "y".
Example: turkey, turkeys, toy, toys, bay, bays
When a noun ends in -s, add -es.
