Due Oct. 31

Halloween

You are allowed to wear your costume to school on Oct. 31, if you'd like. However, you may not wear masks, heavy make-up, any inappropriate, or bring any weapons. Keep in mind it's a school day, and we don't want anything to interfere with learning. Make good choices. If in doubt, ask an adult to email me.

MULTIPLICATION ROCKS!

Our young mathematicians had fun using their artistic and math abilities to make multiplication rocks.  Using various multiplication strategies, they solved some challenging multiplication problems, and then wrote them on their painted rocks. We are building arrays with them now, but soon we will be hiding them on the St. Ann campus for others to find.

Multiplication Facts: 0, 1 , 2

Plural Nouns: Rules to Remember

·      A singular noun is ONE person, ONE place, or ONE thing.
              Example: dog, house, cherry
·      A plural noun is MORE THAN ONE person, place, or thing.
·      To make most nouns plural, add an –s, -es, or –ies.
              Example: dogs, houses, cherries
·      Add an –es to nouns that end in -ch, -sh, -s, -ss, or -x.
Example: churches, bushes,  buses, classes, boxes
·      When a noun ends in a consonant and –y, change the –y to an –i and add –es.
              Example: body becomes bodies
