In Science, we’re learning about parts of a plants, what a plants needs to grow, and how plants make their own food.

We made predictions and then experimented to see if plants really give off water (transpiration).

We worked in centers this afternoon to practice our math skills in Khan Academy, phonics and spelling with Osmo, and reading comprehension with Around the World.

September RQ Book

Have you read your September RQ book? 

Remember that quizzes are due by Monday, Sept. 30.

Parents -- RQ grades have been updated. If your child's grade is blank, he/she has not take a quiz.

Letter writing

We are learning to format letters and. address an envelopes. We even made our own envelopes!

Tomorrow will write a letter to someone special and then address the envelope.

Homework

- Religion - test over Chapter 3.
- Write down your address (return address) and write down the address of the person to whom you will be writing your letter (mailing address). 
- Get plenty of rest so you can wake up ready to put on a humongous smile for picture day.
- Hug your mom or your dad.

Do you have a ruler?

If not, please bring one to school. We will use it often. Make sure it has inches and centimeters.
