We have had many students come to school wearing tennis shoes on non-PE days. Please remember that tennis shoes are not part of the school uniform and are only to be worn on PE days. I have given students many reminders, but going forward, they will be sent to the office so that they can call you to bring the correct shoes.
3G PE days are Monday and Wednesday.
We started working in a new program today — Happy Numbers. Students have their class code and password. They will be reviewing 3rd grade skill, starting with place value. After their assessment, the program started them in specific skills based on their data. Some students like it, some don’t. Regardless, it’s a good review for the skills we’ve learned in 3rd grade (and good prep for 4th grade). Once they’ve mastered 3rd grade, they can move to 4th grade skills.
They will access to this account until June, 2022.
This morning, we were visited by Officer Schaumburg and his partner Ali and Officer Wilson and his partner Gozer, all members of the Bartlett Police K9 Unit. We learned about the training that Ali and Gozer went through to become police dogs and how they help the police.We even learned that dogs have over 350 million smell receptors, compared to our three to five million.
