Home Depot and Ikea field trip

Fourth grade visited Home Depot and Ikea as part of their library renovation project in STREAM class. They collected pricing, measurements, and other information for their Keynote presentations, which will include a budget and blueprints.

Energy!

First graders are learning about different types of energy.

Our caterpillars (larva) are hard at working on their chrysalides (pupa). By Monday, they will have hardened and then we can move them to the chrysalis station and into the butterfly habitat. And then we wait for about a week and a half for the butterflies to emerge.

Getting ready for our field trip!

4th graders are making sure they’re ready for the field trip to Home Depot and Ikea on Friday. Students will be “shopping” for flooring, paint, furniture, lightening, etc for the mock library renovation. They will be collecting data to add to their Keynote presentations.

Today was too pretty to have STREAM class inside!
