Singular and Plural Pronouns

Pronouns are words that take the place of a noun.

Singular pronouns:

I   (use when referring to yourself). I am a teacher.

You    Jill gave you a new pencil. 

me    Jill gave the doll to me.

he      Jim is going to the store. He is going to buy groceries.

she     Lisa is a nice person. She is my best friend.

her     I like Lisa.  I like her.

him     I like Tom. I like him. 

it             The dog ate the bone. The dog ate it.

Plural Pronouns:

we       

Tim and Jim are going to study division. We are going to study division.

us        She gave it to the class. She gave it to us.

they    3G is an awesome class.  They are an awesome class.

them   We went with Matt and Jason. We went with them.

3G Reading

We will be reading A Sweet Passover over the next week. This wonderful story will help prepare us for our field trip on Friday and introduce us to the celebration of Passover in the Jewish faith. I have copies of the book for each student to use. If any student in 3B would like to borrow a copy, he/she is welcome to.

Triduum Mass Schedule

Sunday is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. Holy Thursday mass (the mass of the Lord’s supper) is 7pm, and Good Friday mass (the celebration of the Lord’s passion and death) is also at 7pm. Any student who attends Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter masses, will receive a participation grade in Religion. This is optional, but I encourage you all to attend these beautiful and meaning masses. Also, you don’t necessarily have to attend the masses/services at St. Ann.
