Eclipse 2017

Solar Eclipse August 21, 2017

We observed, we wrote, and we illustrated during observation #1.
We ate lunch. 
We went back outside for observation #2, but the clouds had other plans (Do you recognize the use of figurative language?).
We went back inside to document our observations.
We went outside for observation #3.
We waited for the clouds to move.
We ate snow cones.
We waited...
We got sprinkled on.
We waited some more...
We played trivia.
Finally....WE SAW PART OF THE ECLIPSE!
And then we got rained on.
What a fun afternoon!

Homework

3G - finish re-reading Boom Town (pick up where we left off in class). Read out loud to someone, if possible.
Spelling - Practice on Spellingcity.com for 5 minutes.

Monday, August 21st Solar Eclipse

We will go outside at three specific times to observe and document the solar eclipse.
Family members are welcome to join us for our final observation from 1pm until 1:30pm in the main school parking lot; however, glasses will be provided for students only.
