Remember learning about Thea Bowman and the spirituals we listened to in Religion? (This Little Light of Mine)

Sister Thea Bowman was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi on December 29, 1937. She would have been 82 years old today.

Sister Thea once said, “God was so alive in my world. I was reared around a lot of old people. They knew Scripture. I knew people who could not read or write, but they could quote you a Scripture with chapter and verse. They would use Scripture when they were tired and a Scripture when they were frustrated, a Scripture to challenge us...a Scripture to threaten you, a Scripture to reward you or to praise you or to teach you; I grew up in that kind of world.”

Servant of God Sister Thea Bowman, Pray for us!

Santa needs our help.

We have been challenged to invent and build prototypes to help keep Santa safe in his sleigh, just in case it malfunctions. Some students are building springs shoes, rockets, and a flying birdie helper.

Next we’re going to help the elves find ways to use a large shipment of balls that they received. We’re going to invent and build a prototype for a toy using a blue, snowflake ball.
