50th anniversary of the moon landing

On July 20th, 1969, Apollo 11 landed the first two humans on the Moon: Americans, Commander Neil Armstrong and lunar module pilot Buzz Aldrin.

In camp today we celebrated this achievement by making straw rockets and moon sand.

Air and space

Today we’re wrapping up air and moving on to space.

We put small motors on our Hot Wheels to make them move on their own. It was tricky, and we had to do a lot of problem solving.

We also make original games using mini jets.

I’m a proud alum of St. Ann Catholic School. Please prayerfully consider making a matching gift donation. You don’t have to be an alum to donate. St. Ann Alumni Matching Challenge Calling all Alumni (Past, present and future!) Dear St. Ann Alumni, friends and family, We received a $10,000 challenge match earmarked for tuition assistance. We are required to raise $10,000 to receive the match. This $20,000 will help provide families with much needed financial aid. We are turning to our alumni to help meet this challenge match. Please click here to help meet our alumni challenge match. In the comment section, please type: Alumni Match. We need your support to help our students become St. Ann alumni just like you. We are currently giving over $100,000 in tuition assistance for the 2019-20 school year to help our families. Financial assistance at St. Ann is not merit based (scholastic or athletic). All financial assistance is awarded on the basis of need. The average families receiving aid is headed by a single parent with two children in school and have a yearly income of approximately $35,000. Let’s not leave money on the table. Please share this with any alumni you know! Please contact Principal Didier Aur at didier.aur@sascolts.org for more information. Read more about this in Principal Aur's blog here!
