4th grade summer work
From Mrs. Williams:
Dear
Parents,
I am always excited about getting a new
group of students. It is so rewarding to
see the growth they make throughout the year. The following skills are very
important to know when the students enter the fourth grade. The IXL is to be completed with a 100%
score. This is 3rd grade
review. You have probably done most of
the skills. Re-do them and I can monitor
by the dates and times the student has been on IXL.

A look back at 3G 2016-2017!
Thank you all so much for a FABULOUS year!
3G Scholars:
Remember to keep exercising your brain and growing neurons.
Never stop trying; just because you don't know something now, just means you don't know it YET.
Most importantly, once you are my student, you will always be in my heart! Love you all.

Weekly IXL
IXL is due Monday, May 19th.
Math: 15 minutes
LA: 15 minutes
In both content areas, it’s student choice. Don’t work in something that is easy for you; challenge yourself.
Are you having trouble mastering your division facts?
Do adjectives and adverbs still confuse you?
How about reading comprehension?
Geometery?
Choose a content area that execises your brain and grows neurons!

Volcanoes in Action
In 3G we have been reading The Magic School Bus Voyage to the Volcano, which takes place in Hawaii, specifically at Kilauea.
It just so happens that Kilauea starting shooting lava and releasing high levels of sulfur gas yesterday. We have learned about this volcano, plumes of smoke, sulfur, and maps (in Social Studies), so we watched news coverage live from Hawaii today and were familiar with what was going on, including the lava flow type.
